Introduction of French Wine Appreciation

Location :   Central office (6 to 8 pax),  Co-working space at HK Island (9-12 pax)

Duration :  2 hours

  • Tasting of 6 wines from France with snacks

  • Introduction to Wine, Grape Growing and Wine Making

  • Major types and styles of wine in France

  • Principal grape varieties and wine regions

  • Experience aromas sensation with professional wine aromas’ kit. 

  • How to describe wine with professional terms

  • Food and Wine Pairing Principals

 

Wine tutor has completed WSET Level 3 or above.

Grape Varieties Discovery and Blind Tasting

Location : Central office (6 to 8 pax),  Co-working space at HK Island (9-12 pax)

Duration :  2 hours

  • Blind Tasting of 6 wines around the world to guess the grape varieties and regions.   

  • Analyse 3 major grape varieties in theoretical ways : history, colour, characteristics, aromas and geographical location and winemaking methods.

  • Old world vs. New world style of same grape varieties.

  • Train your olfactory by professional aromas kit to identify main grape varieties and winemaking style.

  • Systematic approach of blind tasting and how to make the right guess.

  • Food and Wine Pairing techniques for different grape varieties.

 

Wine tutor has completed WSET Level 3 or above.

Participants should have basic understanding of wine, such as completing “ Introduction of French Wine Appreciation “ or WSET Level 1.  

Pairing Wine and Food like a Pro

Location :  Co-working space at HK Island (8-12 pax)

Duration :  2.5 hours 

  • Tasting of 6 wines and pairing with 4 food samples, including seafood & meat, spicy & sweet.  

  • Analysis of wine and food pairing of major cuisines in the world, e.g. French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Thai.

  • Classic wine and food pairing examples. 

  • How to choose from a wine list and to communicate with Sommelier.

  • Wine selection for parties, banquets and tricky food.

  • Enjoy delicious cheese platter with wine during the night.

 

Wine tutor has completed WSET Level 3 or above.
